To my Wonderful, Best Friend, Angel, Glamorous, Precious MOM!
Thank you for being YOU not just to me but to everyone you came in contact with. You are not only forever within my heart but you ARE my heart. Thank you for giving me the most valuable opportunity to be your son. I hope I made you half as proud as you made me.
To all the family and friends who came to my mom's celebration of life, I am filled with gratitude and joy. The love and kindness was explosive and filled with humor and joy, just as she would have wanted. And yes... the grief is necessary. Anyone who received as much love as my mom gave would feel the grief we share today.
So... to the drama queen with a heart of gold and a closet full of Armani...
To the teacher, the healer, the dog lover, the beach walker, the parking-lot warrior...
You´ll always be my mom, my best friend, and my heart.
Your legacy isn´t just in your style or your wit-it lives in your kindness and your compassion. Your core belief that we could be better.
Thank you for teaching us that.
I miss you more than I can say. But I know you´re still with me-teaching me, loving me, and probably editing me from above. You will and always will be "the wind beneath my wings".
I love you, Mom.
