Paul Joseph Breitman

1931 - 2017

November 16, 1931 - February 15, 2017 Paul Joseph Breitman was born on November 16, 1931 in Los Angeles, California, to Harry and Maize Breitman and was the younger of their two children. As a child, he attended Harvard Military School through his high school years. After high school, he joined the Army and was stationed in Inchon, Korea, for two years during the Korean War. Wanting to follow in his father's footsteps, he later attended USC for his undergraduate studies, medical school and residency program. It was during his internship that he met his wife of over 50 years, Lori, on a blind date. She was a student nurse at County Hospital, where Paul was completing his internship. They married while Paul was still in his residency program and were blessed with three children. To make ends meet, the young family of five ventured out together several nights a week to allow Paul to perform insurance physicals for extra money. The couple lived briefly in San Gabriel before settling in Whittier, where Paul maintained a private practice as an ENT physician for 39 years. Paul was very proud of his family, including his wife Lori, his son Kevin, his daughter Nancy, his daughter and son-in-law Kelly and Tom, and his three granddaughters Jessica, Rachel and Hanna.
