Paula GERBER Obituary

Gerber, Paula Frances
June 12, 1939 - January 25, 2010
Beloved and devoted mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grammie, friend and guiding light to many. Paula was born in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Helen Elizabeth and William Clement Fuhrer and she was the third of six children. Her life was filled with love and laughter and she continually surrounded herself with people who enjoyed her sense of humor and passion for life.
Paula moved from Pittsburgh to Santa Monica, CA when she was 18 years old and worked at SDC Corporation for several years before enjoying many adventures around the world. In 1977 she completed her Bachelors of Science in Business at Cal State Dominguez Hills. Then she worked for The State Board of Equalization for 22 years as an auditor and retired in 2001. Her days of retirement were filled with family and friends and many cherished memories, especially by her grandchildren. She passed away peacefully in her own home surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her two daughters, Pamela Musleh (Imad) and Jeni Roderick (Tom), her six adorable grandchildren, Leila, Zachary and Zane Musleh, Colin Keenan and Mollie Roderick, her sister, Cecilia Solties, brother, William Fuhrer, 3 brother-in-laws, four nieces, four nephews, 12 great nephews and a plethora of friends. She will be missed by all who knew her and she will always be remembered with love and affection.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent in her name to The American Lung Association or The March of Dimes.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday. January 30 at 10:00 am at Gates Kingsley and Gates at 1925 Arizona Ave in Santa Monica. The Final Blessing and burial will take place at 1pm on Saturday, January 30 at Holy Cross Cemetery and Mausolem located at 5835 W. Slauson Ave in Culver City.
