Peter Gardiner Obituary
April 25, 1949 - January 13, 2011
Peter R. Gardiner, retired film studio executive and son of British-born film and television actor, Reginald Gardiner,died of a heart attack at his home in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Gardiner held executive postions in post production and technical services at Warner Bros. and Paramount Pictures.
After leaving Warner Bros. in 1996, he went on to a consulting career including a stint as a visual and sound consultant at UCLA's School of Theatre, Film and Television.
In 1988, he married Christina Palastanga, daughter of German actress, singer and writer Hildegard Knef.
After the deaths of his mother and mother-in-law, the couple moved to Santa Fe in 2005. The couple divorced in 2009.
Gardiner had a passion for audio technology, cars, sailing and fine dining and could always be counted on to be the life of the party.
Gardiner is survived by his former wife, Christina Palastanga and his many friends that loved him.
A memorial serviced is planned for March 20 in Santa Monica.
