Peter Paskus

PASKUS, Peter was born on December 12, 1937 in Vienna, Austria to Caroline and Walter, who emigrated from Vienna to Los Angeles with Peter before his second birthday. Peter passed away August 25, 2008 with his beloved wife, Renee at his bedside. Peter was a wonderful man and a lucky man. He met the love of his life, Renee, when he was just 16 years old and had 54 years with her. Those were years filled with love and dedicated to his family.
After graduating from UCLA with a B.A. in business administration, Peter joined Paskus Electric Company and worked alongside his father - prior to running the business himself for thirty years. He semi-retired five years ago and passed the reins of the business to his son, Michael. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who worked hard to provide for his family. Peter was a man with many passions and interests that he would throw himself into whole-heartedly. He loved music, especially The Doors, art of the late 19th century and collecting stamps. He had a love of life and a great sense of humor. Nothing was more fun for him than orchestrating elaborate practical jokes. Peter felt life was a blessing and treated it as such. Peter is survived by: his wife, Renee; his children Michael, Sherry Ring, Stacey Kass, their spouses Rose, Bart and Dennis; and his grandchildren Martin, Jason, Ryan, Eddie, Nicholas, Zachary, Albert and Caroline. His funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 29, 2008 at Hillside Memorial Park in Los Angeles. (800) 576-1994.
