Philip Ozer Obituary

April 19, 1939 - July 24, 2014 Our father Philip passed away peacefully at his home. He's reunited with his late wife, Sondra. Born in NYC to Sara and Sidney Ozer, Philip arrived in CA with his parents and siblings: George, Ruth and Murray. He graduated from North Hollywood High School in 1957, then embarked on a successful career in sales. A man who refused to grow old, Phil loved his cell phone, surfed the net, texted often and always signed off with "LOL." He was a delightful, friendly and optimistic man. An incredibly stylish dresser known for his unique eyeglass frames, he drove Corvettes, but finally upgraded to a Mercedes. He collected wines, loved to dine, considered himself an early "foodie" and boy, could our Dad carve a holiday turkey. He enjoyed watching sports. Phil proudly served in the U.S. Army Reserves. Survivors include brother Murray Ozer, first wife Jacqueline Richard, daughter Deborah Alexander and husband Scott, son Josef Ozer and wife Amanda, stepson Scott Ozer and wife Wendy, stepdaughter Susan Sunkin, and 10 grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank at www.lafoodbank.org. Funeral Service will be Thursday, July 31, 11:30 AM, Mount Sinai Mortuary in Hollywood.

I was very sorry to hear of Phil's passing. We were friends for 55 years during which time never a cross word passed between us. I loved when he used to come over to my house in Canoga Park to have his computer fixed and we could spend a few hours together. He will definitely be missed for his engaging personality and ability to always brighten my day whenever he would call or e-mail me. The world will be a darker place without Phil in it. Mike Cooper, Ann Kashuk's brother.

I have been a friend of Sandy and Phil since the mid 80's and lost touch when my husband Jerry Fidler died in late 2002. Sandy and Phil were at my son's wedding in 2009 and I had spoke to Sandy many times to get together. I also contacted Philip on facebook earlier this year and he said he would call me. I had no idea that Sandy had also passed away also.
My heart goes out to you the children and relatives.
I am so sorry Sandy and Phil
and myself never had that last meeting. I will miss both of them so much.
My heart goes out to their relatives and this sad time.
They will both be missed for their colorful personalities.
I would love it if someone from the family would contact me.
I loved them both so much and we had such great times together.
Love
