After graduating from High School, Phyllis wanted to serve her country and enlisted in the United States Navy. During her tenure, she became a Dental Technician. She was proud to serve and was often called upon to be Flag Bearer for many occasions, not only because she was a dutiful subject but also, for her stature and poise! She always walked straight and tall, throughout her days. After serving her country, she entered the business world working days and going to school at night and on weekends. Resulting from of her work experience and knowledge, she was hired by McDonald Douglas Corporation, later to be Boeing. During her tenure, she was a buyer in Avionics. At time of retirement she was a Senior Major Subcontracts Specialist. She was proud of her accomplishments! At retirement Phyllis loved her home, gardening, her pets, HB Central Park, the Beach and the beautiful sunsets. She enjoyed watching the humming birds coming into the back yard, the owls in the park and how the sun fell on the trees in the evening. She enjoyed reading, politics, puzzles, movies and a nice glass of Chardonnay with her meal and last, but not least, she loved her family.
