Raegene Francis Bjornsen

June 22, 1922 - July 27, 2014 Raegene Francis Bjornsen, 92, passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 27th. She was born to Raymond and Regina Rogers on June 22, 1922 in Englewood, CO. After her father's untimely death, her mother remarried and she was adopted by Albert Schindler in Lynch, NE. Raegene married her high school sweetheart Norris S. Bjornsen in 1944 in Los Angeles, CA and they were later blessed with a son Ev and a daughter NorisAna. She is survived by her half-sister Bertie Sieler of Lynch, NE, daughter-in-law Allida Bjornsen of El Monte, CA, five grandchildren: Heidi Bjornsen of Covina, CA, Sara Ochoa of El Monte, CA, Andrew Bjornsen of El Monte, CA, Wade Shinn of Montebello, CA and Stacey McMahon of Long Beach, CA and 11 great-grandchildren. She was a strong-willed native Nebraskan farmer, Pacific Bell Pioneer and fierce friend to those who came to know her. Our dear "Grandma B" will be missed. Norris and Raegene's final resting place is Miramar National Veterans Cemetery in San Diego, CA.
