Ricardo HAHN M.D.

HAHN, M.D., Ricardo It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Ricardo Hahn, M.D.. Dr. Hahn is survived by his loving wife, Staci and cherished daughter, Emily, age 12. He is also survived by an aunt, cousins and loving family in Argentina. He died Saturday afternoon, February 2nd at the Keck Medical Center of U.S.C. surrounded by his family and closest friends. He was 68 years old. He was born in Buenos Aires and immigrated to the United States at the age of 16. Dr. Hahn received his medical degree from the University of Washington in 1974 and was boarded in Family Medicine in 1977, following completion of his residency at the University of South Carolina. Throughout his professional career, he was a dedicated physician and an advocate for the advancement of Family Medicine.
Dr. Hahn joined the USC faculty in 1995 as the chairman of the department of Family Medicine, a position he held until 2006. He remained with the department as Professor of Family Medicine and maintained a full and active clinical practice. He served as a senior mentor not only to residents, but to many faculty members. He also served as the medical advisor for the Alfred Mann Institute at USC.
