Richard S. Comras

1929 - 2018

May 22, 1929 - December 18, 2018 From Providence, Rhode Island, on May 22, 1929, to Palm Springs, California, December 18, 2018, Richard Stuart Comras was bigger than life. We mourn his passing and celebrate his extraordinary achievements. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Jackie, son Lawrence, and sister Shirley. He was predeceased by son Jonathan. His middle name Stuart came from his mother's love of the family stove, a Stuart Range. Richard attended over 30 high schools growing up, as his family moved a lot. He drove his family across the country when he was 12 years old and they moved to California at the start of WWII. Richard entered the Korean War in 1950, and returned home in 1952 to find his bride and begin a multi-faceted highly successful career as a businessman. He never really believed his incredible luck. Except it wasn't luck. He had an extraordinary knack for knowing what would work. He loved to encourage young people to go into business and helped many do so. He was very proud of their successes. He loved life and loved his work. Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, December 23rd at Mount Sinai Memorial Park, Hollywood Hills.
