Richard Paul Dorris

Dorris, Richard Paul of Newport Beach passed away Monday September 30, 2002 after a valiant 6-year battle against throat cancer. He was born December 19, 1949 in Pasadena and has resided in Newport Beach since 1958. Richard graduated Mater Dei High School in 1967 and then attended USC. In the late 70's he founded and became president of Q.M.C., a quality crane manufacturing company based in Fountain Valley.
He is survived by his wife Dannielle; daughter Lindsey Dorris, and sister Suzanne Dorris Kaleel. He also leaves behind many friends, dogs, birds, horses and vintage race cars. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on October 9, 2002 at Pacific View Memorial Park, 3500 Pacific View Drive, Newport Beach.
