Richard P. Jones

June 27, 1946 - January 25, 2021 Richard Patrick Jones, 74, of Boise, Idaho, passed away on January 25, 2021, at his home of natural causes. He was born to parents Richard "Speck" Jones and Tricia Anne Jones, on June 27, 1946, in Los Angeles, California. He graduated from Loyola High School of Los Angeles in 1964 and went on to study Business at the University of Southern California (USC) and graduated with Bachelor's Degree (B.S.). After graduation, he met Linda Candy and they wed in 1973, going on to have us three, Morgan, Michael and Maile. We knew he was always really proud of us. Our dad enjoyed all sports, the horse races and the ocean. He could often be found relaxing in the sun and always had a great story to tell or memory to share. He frequently talked about his friends and the fun things he did as a social butterfly in what he called his "prime days" in Beverly Hills. Anyone who knew our dad knew that his family was the most important thing in his life. He was predeceased by his parents Speck and Tricia and his sister Casey Atherton. He is survived by his sister Jeffrey Jones, brother Patrick Jones, sons Morgan and Michael, daughter Maile, their spouses and his seven grandchildren. In lieu of a flower tribute, take the money you might have spent and take a friend to lunch, buy a surprise gift for someone, or help a person in need with it. That way, the love we shared for our dad can be spread among his family and friends in the months to come. Because of Covid, a private family celebration will be held. Thank you to all that have sent sweet messages and tokens of love, comfort, and support. Thank you, dad, for so many good times. We will think about you every day and will be at peace knowing that you are safe and watching over our family. We love you so much and are going to miss you incredibly.
