I only met Bob once at a Museum of Neon Art event. Such a nice man with an interest in "Light"! I found out later that he was a member of the museum for quite a few years. God speed Bob, we at MONA wish your family well and you will be missed.

I just heard about Bob's death. We will certainly miss him at our SMU 50th reunion. A former Kappa Alpha Theta houseboy, he began attending our Theta pledge class gatherings. Bob and the girls would "go around the table"
and tell of the major developments in our lives. About 20 years ago, we starting telling the absolute truth. Bob was both funny and philosophical. I will never forget the day the doorbell rang at my house during our reunion weekend right before the pledge class brunch I was hosting. There stood Bob in a houseboy's jacket holding a plate as if he was serving! From that time on, he attended our gatherings. He radiated love and appreciation for us and we loved him back.
I am so sorry for the family's loss.

I met Bob in the mid 1980's working for a colleague of his. His mind worked as fast as anything I had ever seen. I then moved on to work for DH&R and kept in contact with Bob over the years. He was one of the smartest and kindest men I have had the pleasure to know ever. He is in a good place!

What a wonderful, beautiful and giving
person. Always doing something for others. We will miss him as our neighbor for 25 years.

I was fortunate enough to meet Bob from the outset of my real estate career. He always had time and cared about others insights and opinions, even a young analyst that probably had no clue what he was talking about at the time! Bob was humble, worldly, generous and real. He will be missed but certainly remembered.

May Bob be appreciated for all of the fine works he did to support the EAC and to the educational programs and museums we grant. The EAC will miss your kind support and presence at our programs.

Bob suggested that we go around the table and tell of one or two things which have been meaningful for us during 2014 ...and what we wish for 2015. This photo says it all and while I wished for another holiday together, I am grateful for the time we had.

We will treasure our memories of Bob especially on Christmas Eve as we sing his favorite Carols and solve his unusual riddles. What a gift he was to the DeSantis Family! He will live on in our memories with his heartwarming smile and inquring mind.

Bob was one of the most gracious and generous persons I have ever met. He was a member of the Ethnic Arts Council of LA for the past 4 years, attending our educational programs and giving to our grants program to support tribal art education through our local museums. He was always appreciative of the volunteer work we did and would take the time to write and tell us. He was truely a mensch and he will be sorely missed.

Both of us had the pleasure of knowing Bob and working with him for perhaps 20 years. His enthusiasm and humor were infectious. He will be greatly missed!

My relationship with Bob that began in the 1970's, was the ultimate two way street where both sides provided so many positive inputs along the way. I cherish the moments we had together to study our collective passion of real estate and make investments. The Santa Fe trip at the dawn of the modern REIT era in the early 90's, the Christmas trip to Austin to visit properties, the wonderful time in Carmel 12 years ago and, more recently, Bob participated with our REIT team at a conference in San Diego. Of course, the annual Christmas investment gatherings in Houston that went on for more than 30 years go down as the most special remembrance for me but also for my own brother Bob. And, I cannot forget the many phone calls I received from Bob over the years while he was on the road in California on property tours and site visits. Bob was a great guy and I will miss his enthusiasm, wit and intelligence that was active until the end. God bless the entire Weekley Family in California and Houston.
