August 1, 1927 - July 31, 2021 ROSE CARR, age 93, passed away on July 31st into the loving care and grace of our Lord. Beloved mother of sons Jeffrey Carr (Janice) and Dale Carr (Kelli); dearest grandmother of Melissa Roozbeh (Pejman), Brian Carr (Hannah), Jennifer Fouad (Samer), Michael Carr, JJ Melin (Erin), Jordan Melin; and great grandchildren Dylan McCorkle, Caleb Carr, Leila Fouad, Natalie and Elle Melin; and dear Aunt of Sona Hacherian. She was pre-deceased by her beloved parents, Harry and Nouritza Hacherian and her dear brother, Jack Hacherian. Rose was born on August 1, 1927 in Cleveland, Ohio where she grew up and remained until after marrying. From childhood through her adult years she was always full of life - active, athletic, engaging, and social, loving being with family and friends and interacting with all people. She attended East High School where she participated in many school events and programs. She loved music, acting, dancing and had an excellent singing voice, being asked to sing with local Cleveland area dance bands in her later teen-age years. She married Edward Carr on July 4, 1952, but later divorced in 1976. After marrying they remained in Cleveland where both their sons were born. In 1957 the family moved to Rochester NY, residing there until 1962 when both Rose and Ed were able to fulfill their desire to live in California. The family moved to Encino in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles where she then resided for over 50 years.Rose became employed at MCA Universal in 1972, where she worked until her retirement in 1989, becoming an Executive Secretary in the Television Publicity department. She thoroughly enjoyed her work, the many wonderful friendships she formed with co-workers, and being employed in the entertainment industry. During these years she became an active member in the Women in Show Business charitable organization. Often during her life she had been told of her likeness to England's Queen Elizabeth II. In April 1980 she responded to an advertisement for a QEII look alike by the Ron Smith Agency. She was hired on the spot and began a fun, opportunity blessed look alike career the next month. Her list of credits included appearances in television shows and commercials, and personal appearances at business and charitable events. She loved entertaining and was an excellent cook. She hosted many family and friends get togethers at her home, her native Armenian foods being a specialty. She also thoroughly enjoyed travel, both domestic and international, to visit family and friends or experience new locales and cultures, a favorite destination being Hawaii. Throughout her life her Christian faith was foremost - devotion to faith and family being most important to her. She became a baptized Jehovah's Witness in 1984, in prior years she had been a member of the Armenian Church and the Presbyterian Church. She loved the opportunity to share her witness for Jehovah to all persons, especially when witnessing alongside her congregational brothers and sisters. She was an amazing person who will be deeply, deeply missed by all her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to the Ararat Home of Los Angeles, 15105 Mission Hills Road, Mission Hills, CA 91345
