Ross Orozco Obituary

September 23, 1938 - May 6, 2016 Ross Orozco, 77, passed away Friday, May 6, 2016, at his home in Yorba Linda, California. The oldest of 10 children, Ross was born September 23, 1938 to Ross Angel and Lilian Joan (Payan) Orozco in Los Angeles, California. He graduated from Canoga Park High School and earned a BA in History from UCLA. Ross' adventurous, humorous, athletic spirit led him down many paths in life. He enjoyed careers in many fields and achieved success as a tennis coach and real estate broker. These opportunities allowed him to live in San Francisco, Alaska, New York City, Hyannis Port, and the Bahamas. In 1979, Ross met his beautiful bride, JoAnn Rinder, in a NY coffee shop. They were married in 1981, had two daughters and settled in their home in California where they remained for 30 years. As his best friend once said "He is a unique person whom we all love, admire and sometimes wonder at." Ross is survived by his wife, Joann Orozco (Rinder); daughters, Caritia and Elena Orozco; brothers Steve and Jeff; sisters Paula, Carla, Irene, Pat, Celeste, Lydia, Mary-Lou; step-mother, Mary; aunt, Hilda; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Ross was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Bill.
