I will always remember Sam. How could I not? He brought me into this world and he and Doris were a big part part of my childhood. And they always brought Duchess with them, that wonderful cocker spaniel of theirs. Those visits with them and Buddy and Steve will always stay with me. I wish you only good memories today.

From Patricia Scharf - Doris, Buddy and Steve, I was so upset this morning when I saw the notice in the LA Times. We had looked for your contact info when Mom passed on May 10th but couldn't find it and then I saw this.
My deepest sympathy and love to you all - Neither Barbara nor I would be here if not for Sam and I think of you all (and Duchess) fondly. If the funeral is here in LA and hasn't happened yet, please let me know the details so I can attend. Again, know that I'm thinking about you all during this difficult time.

From Barbara Scharf Schamest - daughter of Dave and Esther Scharf- My heartfelt sympathy to Doris, Bud and Steve. A long time friend of my father's, Sam delivered me and my sister and was often thought of when reciting our family history. With my Mom's recent passing, that history was made current, as I have gone through her notes and memorabilia. We have some old pictures of them together as well.
