Sarah Silverman Obituary

SILVERMAN, Sarah Frances (Sally) nee Dennis, 1907-2007. Predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Harry Silverman. Loving mother of Alan and Gail Silverman and Marsha and Jim Alexander. Loving grandmother of Larry and Richard Silverman, Lori and John Volk, Scott and Debbie Alexander, Cara and Robert Steinberg, Derek Alexander (deceased), and Timothy and Aimee Alexander. Great-grandmother to Alana, Lance, Dietrich, Ryan, Casey, Lucas, Jeremy, Lily, Lexi, Amber and Theo. Great-great-grandmother to Michael.
A family matriarch, she was one of eleven children who were close friends throughout their lives. What she lacked in height, she more than made up for in spirit and enthusiasm for life. She leaves behind a large group of nieces and nephews. Her exploits as an apartment manager (until she turned ninety!) were legendary. Always busy with her family (especially when there was a baby around), her friends, crossword puzzles, bowling, mystery books and knitting, she astounded us all with her boundless energy. We'll miss you Mom/Nana/Grandma, for your love and lust for life. Funeral at Mount Sinai Burbank. Sunday, December 2, at 1 o'clock.

What a force of nature our Dennis aunts were. Aunt Sarah gave me such a chuckle. Now it is just my mom, Aunt Lil, who, at times, can still recall the cherished memories of her family.
