Scott, you have been on my mind lately, again. Was at the beach and thought of you. You are the best. Loving, kind and a laugh riot. Thanks for sharing your life with me. It was my pleasure and my honor to know you. Smiling now.

A poet, a painter, full of depth and full of energy, life, and laughter. We spent a summer together when I was in my early 20's. I was young and dumb , but loved the energy and happiness he gave me. He was fun, free, and full of emotion. He shared his love of Ernest Hemingway with me ...to this day making him one of my favorite writers. Unfortunately, I never told him any of this back then ...
3 years ago( 24 years later) I bumped into him again. We both had kids and life had taken us down our paths .Yet, he still had that twinkle in his eye and that easy likable personality. Unfortunately again, I didn't tell him how much he used to make me laugh and how much I appreciated his wit as well as intelligence.
I was so shocked and sad to hear of his passing. I hope one day when the big man in the sky calls me home I will see Scott again and be able to tell him everything I never said to him while he was here on earth.
My deepest condolences to his family.

I was a Miraleste Marauder classmate of Scott. He was such a joy to be around. He was passionate about surfing. So sorry he lost his fight with cancer.

I was shocked to hear about Scott Nussbaum's death recently. Scott was only part of my life for a very short time in the early 80's and I hadn't seen him since then. Here's what I remember: We competed in triathlons for a while along with our mutual friend Darin Salk. Scott ALWAYS kicked our butts in the waterhe was an amazing swimmer! I also recall Scott being very high energy, with a great sense of humor. And I believe he attended UCSB for a short while with Darin and I. He had a cool nickname too, Nukes. Anyway, bottom line is he was a cool dude, a great athlete and fun to be around
Being about Scott's age, I can tell you he was taken from us much too soon.
My best wishes and condolences go out to his daughter, family and friends.
