1945 - 2016

December 19, 1945 - October 12, 2016 Suzi, a wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all, died peacefully at home after an extended illness. She is survived by her, husband, Chuck, her daughter, Jennifer Nordstrom (John) of Pacific Palisades, CA and her son, Chris (Norelia) of Windsor, CA. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Riley, Claire, Jack and Will Nordstrom. Suzi was born in Kansas City, MO to Charlotte and Quitman Bellinger Jackson III. Her father, QB, was killed in the war when Suzi was an infant. Her mother later married Roscoe Stewart and she was adopted by Rock when they were married. Suzi was predeased by her mother, Charlotte. Her father, Rock, of Malibu, CA survives her, as well as her sister, Lindsey Hinds (John) and brother James (Rocky) Stewart, both of Pacific Palisades, CA. Suzi and Chuck were married in 1967 and lived in Newport Beach. She became a gourmet cook and loved to tend her flower garden at home. She was a long time member of the Junior League and PEO. She devoted many hours to the Environmental Nature Center in Newport Beach. Suzi was a good sport learning to sail dinghies and bigger boats with Chuck at the Newport Harbor Yacht Club. Many road trips to Aspen and Mammoth were popular when the kids were younger. The family spent many weekends on the family boats, cruising the Channel Islands as well as the Pacific Northwest areas of Puget Sound, Desolation Sound and beyond. A private memorial will take place at a later date.
