Teresa Norris Brewster

March 19, 1945 - June 23, 2021 Teri Brewster, age 76, of Tustin, California, passed away on June 23, 2021. Teri was born in Pomona California on March 19, 1945. She died from the effects of esophageal cancer. Her parents were Nancy White Norris and David Ballard Norris. She was married for a few years to Jorge Fahey and then married the love of her life, Dr. Arthur Brewster. They lived in Tustin, California where he passed away in 2015 Teri grew up in Claremont, California and was part of gifted educational programs for many years. After graduating from Claremont High School in 1963, she attended UC Santa Barbara, then Cal State Fullerton where she received her BA; she finished an MBA in Marketing at USC.Those who knew Teri well know that her true passions were her church and helping other people. She joined the First Congregational Church of Long Beach along with her parents, Nan Norris Nutt and Evan B. Nutt. During the last 25 years she was active in the choir, and served as a member or Chair of almost every committee in the church. She and many volunteers fed the homeless every Sunday through the Urban Community Outreach non-profit organization. She helped the Historical Preservation committee restore a beautiful stained-glass window in the church and was Secretary of the Executive Council when she became ill.Teri worked for many years as an Executive Assistant for the Kohli family at KFICO Insurance and Financial Planning Company in Tustin. She is survived by Bhoopi, Pinky, Ravin, Gene, and Susan, all of whom she considered family. She is survived by her twin sisters Nita Sell and Carol Larsen, and her brother, Steve Norris, her sister-in-law, Priscilla Norris, brother-in-law Robert Sell, her step-daughter, Helen Ryba, nieces and nephews and many loving cousins. At her request, in lieu of flowers, she has asked for donations to First Congregational Church of Long Beach, 241 Cedar Avenue, Long Beach, CA 90802.A memorial service will be held at the church at a future date.
