May 16, 1933 - December 18, 2025 Therese "Terry" Seidler (nee O'Malley) joined the saints in Heaven on December 18, 2025. She passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of family.
Terry grew up in St. Gregory's Parish (Brooklyn, NY) and later Amityville, Long Island, with her parents, Walter and Kay O'Malley, and younger brother, Peter. She graduated with honors from St. Francis High School and the College of New Rochelle, where she was class president and captained the basketball team.
In 1958, when her family moved to Los Angeles with the Dodgers, Terry met her soon-to-be husband, Roland Seidler, and they were married in St. Therese Church, Alhambra, October 4, 1958. From then on, Terry's most important role was that of a wife and mom, taking to heart the words of St. Teresa of Calcutta: "If you want to change the world, go home and love your family."
They were blessed with many dear friends and relatives, especially six sons (John, Peter, Michael, Bob, Tom, and Matt) and four daughters (Carol, Mary Kay, Annie, and Jeannie), their loving spouses, 32 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. Terry was preceded in death by her husband, Rollie (June 8, 2006) and son, Peter (November 14, 2023).
Terry enjoyed teaching Religious Education in their parish, Sts. Felicitas and Perpetua, coaching Little League baseball, and serving on boards supporting Catholic education, pregnant mothers, and her local community.
For the past 25 years, Terry participated in her son's involvement in minor league baseball, and in 2012, traded in her Dodger Blue for Padres Brown and Gold as she became part owner and avid fan of the San Diego Padres.
She lived her Catholic faith and served as a great example to all who knew her, always prioritizing faith, family, and friends. Her smiling Irish eyes, joyful heart, and faithful devotion to God showed through to the very end.
Rollie often quoted St. Thomas More, "Pray for me, as I will for thee, that we may merrily meet in Heaven."
Terry will be merry in Heaven too, when a tax-deductible donation is made in her memory to one of her favorite charities for dedication to Faith and Family:
