Victims of the Club Mecca Murders

Victims Murders Obituary

REMEMBER THE VICTIMS OF THE CLUB MECCA MURDERS, MURDERED 51 YEARS AGO THIS MONTH IN THE WORST MASS MURDER IN LOS ANGELES HISTORY. Take some time this week to visit the graves of the five victims of the Club Mecca Murders who are buried in Southern California: Harry L. Robinson Is buried at Inglewood Park Cemetery in the City of Inglewood. Jacqueline MacInnes Is buried at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City. Antonio Smaldino Is buried at Calvary Cemetery in Los Angeles. Gilbert Gonzalez and Jose Maytorena Best friends since grammar school, are buried next to each other at Calvary Cemetery in Los Angeles. Your visit will be a living memorial to these decent people that they are not forgotten. And say a prayer for the sixth Club Mecca Murder victim, Phillip Crawshaw, who is buried in Seattle, Washington.

Gilbert Gonzalez was my wife's uncle. She was only nine when he was murdered, but she remembers it as if it happened yesterday. Gilbert actually saved the lives of two other people on the night the Club Mecca was firebombed. Witnesses testified that his heroism cost him his life.
