Victor Bartels Obituary

BARTELS, Victor (89) Victor died peacefully in Los Angeles, CA, June 27, 2008. Born in Southport, NC, June 19, 1919. Beloved husband of the late Jeanne (Follett) Bartels, he is survived by his eight children: Richard, Peggy Longley, Annie Costanzo, Joanie Bartels-MacDonald, Dottie Lefter, Bill, Jak, Carol Lauderdale, ten grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Elizabeth Mumford and niece, Marilyn Cinal. Victor, a veteran of World War II, was a long-time resident of Natick, MA, retired to Pickens, SC until his move to Los Angeles in 2003. Memorial services will be held at Forest Lawn Mortuary in Glendale, CA, Thursday, July 3rd, at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to a Veterans' organization of your choice.
