Wow, sure brings back fond memories of a great and wonderful Guy . Those times are difficult to replicate in todays world. Bill Lewis was one interesting Gentleman and we still hold him in our hearts and Minds.

Bill was one of the most memorable people I ever met. There was a quality of genuineness that exceeded anything I ever experienced in anyone else I ever knew. His sense of humor and love of life and people was amazing to be around.
Very connected to whatever was happening ,he rose to each occasion with charm and Grace. I still remember him fondly as though I was just with him.

When my husband and I moved to Pasadena many years ago, Bill welcomed us as though we were long lost friends, when in fact we had just met. He remained a good friend of ours for the 14+ years we lived in Pasadena. Bill was larger than life. We will miss you Bill!

Bill was much more than a Rose Bowl Game Manger, Personal Manager etc. I worked for Bill for almost 15 years. Bill was a character. A full embodiment of a man a friend and a leader. He had a full sense of humor that was rich and sometimes cutting. He was smart and had a wonderful heart. He could be cunning but mostly for the accomplishment of good. I treasure my friendship with him and will always remember working with him as a partner. Everyone needs to have a glass of red wine or in my case a good beer in memory of William C. Lewis.

Bill was a neighbor, friend, and mentor. I had the good fortune to know him on a personal as well as professional basis. He lived across the street, and my wife, Wendy, and I had the pleasure of his company and his lovely wife, Mary, on many occasions. His friendly manner and booming laugh belied his high intelligence and exceptional organizational skills. He was a driving force that improved the West Covina Fire Department, which I experienced first hand. Bill was larger than life and leaves a void for all that knew him. Wendy and I send our deepest sympathy to his wonderful wife and family. He was loved by all. Jim Schieldge, WCFD, ret. (Arcadia, CA)

Bill Lewis was a man for all seasons and times. His extraordinary abillity to organize and execute were sublime.
I express my sincere condolences to his Family and friends. We have lost a treasure in friendship and service to the community.
His time in the Exchange Club of Pasadnea was legendary and filled with exploits I can not describe but happy that I experienced them.
From the Darian Society to the Rose Bowl he was famous as a friend and as a hard worker while all the time enjoying himself and others around him.
May he rest in peace and perpetual light shine upon him.
The Angels above will be regaled with his stories and the life he has led.
God Bless!

Bill served as a management team building consultant in the City of Walnut while I was city manager, and we were very grateful for his kindness, advice, and excellent services. It was a pleasure to know him and work with him.
