William Lurie Obituary

January 2, 1913 - March 10, 2015 On March 10th we lost a hero named William Lurie Sr. He was 102 years old when God decided to take him back. Bill loved and cherished his family. His second love was tennis, which he played for over 80 years. He was born and raised in New York. Bill was a Professional Engineer and had worked for Northrop until 1972. He taught tennis and played tournaments. He also enjoyed and excelled in Chess and Bridge. Bill never stopped thinking about how he could make the world a better place. He is survived by his loving family- son Jim, daughter-in-law Nancy, grandchildren Kris, Grace, and Rachel.
