Winifred Mosa Obituary
She was born in Beaver Valley, Pennsylvania, to parents James H and Hilda Stevens. She had two brothers, Bernon and Carl, and sister Luella. All preceded her in death. She also has one nephew Tim, and two nieces, Allison and Amanda.
She attended a one-room schoolhouse. One teacher and thirty-five students. Her family was so poor, they didn't get a newspaper. She failed a civics test, otherwise she could have attended high school at age twelve. She attended Rossiter High School and graduated in 1938 at age 16.
At age 18, she left Pennsylvania with her sister Luella and Luella's husband. They went to Buffalo, NY. Winifred worked in an airplane factory, a Rosie the Riveter. She met her future husband James C Mosa in Buffalo. He preceded her in death. They left for California, married, and had three boys: James A Mosa, Michael C Mosa, and Charles B. Mosa.
Winifred was an avid book reader. She played the electronic organ. She loved going to Santa Anita Racetrack.
She had a long life, and now, her soul will be with God.
Funeral services will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery on Saturday 9/24/2022 at 1pm.

In searching for family history I called Mrs. Winifred Mosa one day. She would have been the sister in law to my biological grandfather (I did not know my biological grandfather as my father never spoke of him and my grandmother had remarried) and Aunt to my father. I hope she rests in peace. My condolences to the family.
