Susan Wagner Obituary

Susan Kay Wagner, age 74, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2025. She was born on June 27, 1951, and lived a life full of laughter, love, and cherished memories.

Susan (Susie) was married to the love of her life, David "Duane" Wagner, on June 5, 1971. Their 50 years together were filled with joy, devotion, and countless adventures. Even as Duane bravely battled cancer, his determination to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary never wavered. He passed just four days after that milestone - a testament to their unbreakable bond.

Together, Susie and Duane enjoyed traveling to Mexico with friends and family, spending time at their favorite casinos, and fishing side by side on the Gallatin River.

After Duane's passing, Susie moved to Glendale, Arizona, in 2022 to be closer to her son Jason and her beloved grandchildren. She found comfort and friendship at her assisted living home, where she loved playing bingo, joining arts and crafts sessions, attending happy hours, and sharing meals with new friends.

Susie had many passions - she loved painting, cooking, and relaxing with a good Netflix show (especially true crime, romance, or comedy). Her gentle laugh, easygoing nature, and sense of humor made everyone around her feel loved and at ease. Family and friends will fondly remember her signature saying, "Let's split one," whenever she wasn't quite ready to say goodbye.

Susie was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, her sister, and her beloved husband Duane. She is survived by her sons Jason (Tylissa) and Dusty and their families (Tyler, Kaitlyn, Evan, Ethan, Natalie, Owen), sister-in-law Linda Bakken, brother-in-law Erv Nauman, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and her loyal dog Baxter.

Susie will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her warmth, kindness, and loving spirit. She has now joined Duane with the Lord in Heaven, together again in eternal peace.
