LAURINBURG — Carson "Lee" McGill, age 40 of Laurinburg died at his home on Oct. 28, 2014.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Laurel Hill Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Don Malpass and Dr. Jeffery McGirt. A private interment will be held at a later date.
Lee was born March 30, 1974 in Scotland County, son of Myra Sue Locklear McGill and Freddie McGill. He was a truck driver employed with Panther Trucking. He enjoyed attending Laurel Hill Baptist Church. He was an avid sports fan, especially for Gamecock Football and UNC Tarheel Basketball. Lee was a loving husband, father, son and brother that will truly be missed.
Surviving are his wife, Amy Grooms McGill of the home; children, sons, Terner James McGill, Cody Freeman and daughter, Abigail Faith Croke; his parents, Freddie and Myra Sue McGill of Laurinburg, Gene and Christine Watts of Maxton; brothers, Christopher "Chris" McGill, Freddy McGill and wife Renee both of McColl, South Carolina, Buddy Watts and wife Patty of Maxton; sisters, Mary Gardner and husband Jason of Laurinburg, Dawn Watts and Mandy Watts both of Maxton.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service on Saturday at Laurel Hill Baptist Church.
Services entrusted to Richard Boles Funeral Service.
