LAURINBURG — Mrs. Lucy Hayes Chambers Johnson, May 13, 1928 - June 22, 2025
Lucy C. Johnson was born on May 13, 1928, to Daniel Hayes Chambers and Odessa McNair Chambers. She passed away Sunday, June 22, 2025, at Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg, after a short illness.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 80 years, John A. Johnson; her children; and grandchildren.
A viewing will be Saturday, June 28, 2025, 3 to 6 p.m. at S&L Funeral Home of Maxton.
The funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 29, 202,5, at Williams Chapel AME Zion Church.
