Arthur Buma

Arthur Buma Arthur Edward Buma, 71, of Bellflower, died Sunday, May 1, 2011. He was born on October 3, 1939 at the family home in Bellflower, California to Harry and Jennie Buma, the youngest of four children. He is survived by his siblings, Henrietta (James) Gibbard, Donald (Grace) Buma, and Josephine (Richard) Weister; his children, Leslie (Marc) Richards, David Buma and Robert Buma; his grandchildren, Rachel Trujillo, Kyle Paschall, Larissa Paschall, Abigail Richards and Lance Buma; his great-granddaughter, Payton Trujillo; and 11 nieces and nephews. Art graduated from Bellflower High in 1957. He worked hard his entire life, starting in the dairy business, pool construction, car mechanics, plumbing and electrical. He would help any one with any job. He loved to race boats and cars and attend car shows and auctions. He always had big hopes and dreams. He loved all dogs, but would only own Vizslas and shared his lifetime with 7 of them. He will always be remembered and greatly missed. Now, at peace, and reunited with his buddies, Whiskey, Dago, Winston, Sara, Little Guy, Radar and Spencer (aka Spinner).
