Corene Peterson, 77, from Lakewood, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at Lakewood Regional Hospital. She has one son, Jason Peterson and 3 grandchildren. Corene was blessed with an abundance of family and friends and will be missed greatly. Services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 3824 Woodruff Ave. in Long Beach on Monday, July 13th at 11:00 am. Please sign the guest book at www.luybendilday.com.

We fondly remember Corene often. She helped our daughter by driving her to high school rather than her take the city bus. Our granddaughter learned quickly that if she gave Corene a little flower that she would then get ice cream. She was a wonderful neighbor and we miss her greatly.

When I heard of Corene's sudden passing; I couldn't believe it. I met her a few times and felt an instant rapport. She was a warm and gentle person and I know there are many who will miss her and her dedicated service to others. She was a woman with many talents and had a dry wit.
May God Bless her son, Jason, and his family. May all of Corene's friends be blessed for there are those who will sorely miss her incredible friendship.
