Edith Banta Obituary

Edith Faye Taylor Banta Edith Faye Banta returned to her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, August 23, 2005 in Long Beach, California from illness's that had plagued her for many years. Born January 29, 1925 in Long Beach, California, fourth child of Louis C. Taylor and Ethel O. Talbot Taylor. Preceded in death by both parents, sister, Donna Bowen and son, Jack A. Banta. Faye graduated from Poly Tech High School and went on to study piano and voice cu ltivating a great talent in one of the most beautiful voices heard in Southern California. She was so thankful for her great talent, and the longevity of her ability that she stopped charging for her voice lessons and gave back to her Father in Heavens children what he had so abundantly given to her. Her song may be quieted in this existence, but she is surely singing in the choirs in heaven. Faye married Homer W. Banta on June 3, 1950 and found happiness with him for 55 years. She is survived by her husband and three sons, Mark (Aurora), San Diego; James, Paramount, CA.; and Ronald, Paramount, CA.; brother, Gene (Dorothy) Taylor, Del Mar, CA.; and sister, Ruby Stimson, Placentia, CA.; and many loving nieces, nephews and special friends that loved her dearly. Nana,

When I play the flute you gave me for Christmas I will always think of you. I enjoyed playing it for you and will always have memories of how you liked for me to play "My

Heart Will Go On". I liked going to your house and am thankful for how nice you made all the holidays.

Your Thanksgiving food was the best. I love you Nana.

Nana,

I will always remember our talks and how you were so impressed with me when I was three years old and I was able to remember all the words to the "Lion King" songs.

Thank you for all the memories you helped to make when we went up to visit you and Grandpa. I love you and will miss you a lot!

I will always have great memories of you and all that we have shared through the years. I knew I could always call on you when I was feeling sad. I will miss you much and will always cherish you as a dear mother in law.
