Edward Dillon Torrence

Edward Dillon Torrence 1925-2009 Edward Dillon Torrence passsed away on April 3, 2009 from complications of a stroke at the age of 83. Born in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1925, he lived almost his entire life in Southern California, living and working in Long Beach for over 50 years. He served the community through his work in the funeral business at Stricklin/Snively Mortuary, and was active in his parish communities of Holy Innocents, St. Co rnelius and Holy Family in Seal Beach. After his retirement he worked as a travel agent, which he greatly enjoyed. He is survived by his loving wife of over 51 years, Lupe Olivas Torrence; his children, Alice Torrence Baldwin (Mark) of Rossmoor and son, Francis Torrence of Oakland; and six wonderful grandchildren. Gathering/viewing Monday, April 13, All Souls Mortuary, 6-8pm. Mass of Christian Burial, Holy Family Church, Seal Beach, Tuesday, April 14th, 10am.
