Jeffrey Cozens Obituary

Jeffrey Steven Cozens 1946 - 2010 Jeff was born to Art and Evelyn Cozens on December 11, 1946 in the historic town of Gettysburg, PA. The family moved to Southern California in December 1947 where they have resided for the past 63 years. Jeff passed away December 17 after a courageous battle with cancer. Jeff attended local Long Beach schools: Henry, Marshall and Millikan (64) and then graduated with degrees from UCLA. Shortly after graduation he moved up to San Jose, got married and started his family. Several years ago he started a successful computer software company called Systemic Solutions and was planning to continue running this from Mexico. Jeff and Sandi had just completed building their dream home in San Felipe, Mexico and were all packed and ready to make the final move when Jeff was struck down with cancer. Sadly he did not get to fulfill his dream. Jeff is survived by his wife, Sandi of 23 years; and their three children: Reed Cozens (Barbara and Gabriel), Renee Croteau (Aaron) and Elise Daniels (Mike). His family from Long Beach include: Evelyn Cozens, Jennifer Cozens-Boswell (Roger), Debi Bissinger and Kurt Cozens (Cathy). A memorial service for Jeff will be held at Westgate Church, 1735 Saratoga Ave., San Jose, Ca 95129 on Wednesday, December 29 at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to: Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, CaringBridge or Life Chronicles. We will all miss Jeff greatly because he was a wonderful man full of love, compassion and a great sense of humor.

Dear Sandi and Family,

I too was shocked and saddened to learn of Jeff's passing. As a longtime SL reseller I spent time at events and on many conference calls with Jeff, and looked forward to Jeff's responses on the SL forum

Dear Sandi and family:
I am so sorry and surprised to hear of Jeff's passing. I recruited Jeff to sell Project Controller at SDG back in the early 1990's and continued the relationship all the way through to Microsoft. Jeff was just a great guy, very pragmatic, and always very fair in the way he treated everyone. I will miss Jeff. I am out of town and will not be able to make his service on Thursday.

All the best.

Dear Sandi and family:

Condolences to you and your family. I am a Microsoft SL (Solomon Software) partner, and just learned about Jeff's passing. I knew Jeff over 25 years ago in various partner's meetings.. always a gentle man. I met him over 6 months ago most recently. He was thinking of retiring in south America then.

Take care.
