Nancy Murphy Obituary

Nancy Lee Murphy 1926 - 2010 Nancy Lee Murphy, beloved by her family and friends, passed away suddenly at her home October 12, 2010. She is survived by her husband, Bill Murphy; two sons, Bill (Karen), Michael (Maryellen); granddaughter, Kristin (Scott) and two great-grandsons, Ryan and Andrew; and her brother, John (Elaine). A long time resident of Long Beach, she has enjoyed her home and its gardens for nearly fifty years. Nancy has been a wife and partner to her husband for 67 years, raising their sons, working together in the family business, and enjoying the life of their granddaughter and husband and two great-grandsons. Great-grandson, Ryan gave her the nickname as "Grandma Honey", as many people knew her by. She has always cared greatly for extended family, her community and her friends. Nancy was born in Los Angeles, graduated from John Marshall High School (L.A.) and was a leader in support for schools and children's activities. Visitation will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Cypress from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Sunday, October 17th and the grave side service will be 1:00 pm Monday, October 18th at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Cypress.
