Robert J. Crites

CRITES, Robert J. Born in New Jersey on January 10, 1951, passed into eternal life in Long Beach, CA on May 10, 2002. He spent most of his life in the Southern California area. Bob is survived by his loved and devoted wife of 21 years, Mary Jo; daughter, Kelley; mother, Mary Stieb; stepmother, Mary Lynn Crites; brothers, Bill and George; sister, Courtney Frisch; nieces, nephews and numerous friends throughout the country Bob was a founding partner of Condor Freight Lines in 1974, and he serv ed the company as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. He was active nationally in the trucking industry for over 25 years. He was a past president of the California Trucking Association, and a board member of the American Trucking Association and the Western Highway Institute. He was involved for many years in youth soccer with his daughter Kelley in the Long Beach area. He served as a coach for both girls and boys teams. He is fondly remembered for his dedication, sportsmanship and commitment to youth athletics.
