Ruth G. Fermin

Ruth G. Fermin 1969-2008 Ruth G . Fermin was called to rest by our Lord on Friday, July 18, after a courageous nine-year battle with cancer. She was at home, surrounded by her loving family. Ruth was born in Guam on November 7, 1969 and was raised in Long Beach, CA. As a loyal UPS employee for 18 years, she made many friends and dedicated herself to helping others and living life to the fullest. Ruth also devoted herself to raising a beautiful son, Sidney Lopez whom she watched graduate this year from her alma mater Long Beach Poly High S chool. Ruth is survived by her son, Sidney Lopez; parents, Angelina Campano (Nicanor) and Fermin Fermin, Sr. (Mila); brother, Ruben Fermin (Kay, Rachel), sister, Ruby Gatewood (Tom, Brandon and Matthew); brother, Fermin Fermin, Jr. (Crystal); brother, Richard Fermin (Alyssa). Ruth will also be missed by a large extended family which includes uncles, aunties, cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitations on Monday and Tuesday, July 21 and 22 at All Souls Mortuary, 4400 Cherry Ave., Long Beach and a memorial mass will be held at 11 am at St. Lucy's Catholic Church, 2344 Cota Ave, Long Beach on Wednesday, July 23.
