Sally Viets Obituary

May 11, 1935 - May 1, 2023 Sally Jean Viets, beloved wife of Henry, passed away on May 1, 2023. Sally, born in Nebraska on May 11, 1935, grew up in Long Beach, attending Jordan High School and UCLA. She leaves behind children Lisa, Bonnie (Jeff), Janet and Hank (Kathy), along with grandchildren Bridget, Katie, Brandon, Helena, Andrew, Jordan and Lorien. She loved the beach and was grateful for her 55 years in Surfside. Sally was a talented needle pointer, Hawaiian quilt maker, tennis player, loyal Angels fan, "mom" of yellow labs, football pool winner, and an avid reader and book collector (5200 volume collection). Sally was a proud member of the Assistance League of Long Beach. She loved to travel, especially to Hawaii and Italy. Above all, she loved her family, and together with Henry generated an atmosphere of shared appreciation, providing a lifetime of laughter and love to relatives, friends and really all who met her. She will be missed dearly. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Wetlands & Wildlife Care Center in Huntington Beach.

Bonnie-my condolences to you & your family on the loss of your mom. May her memories flood your thoughts everyday and the hurt wash away the sad tears.
Keeping her memory alive by telling all stories to your children, nieces, nephews & eventually your grandchildren will make those memories last. Love to the family Karin
