My mom passed away in August after Sam. They were best friends and I miss them both every day.

In ways big and small, Sam's life changed our world and left it a better place, and touched too many hearts to ever be forgotten.
May you find comfort in knowing that many people share your sadness.
We will always remember him for his kindness and loving spirit.

Bobby and Marshall;
I think you both know how much we loved Sam and what a special bond he and Jessie shared with my mom. We were so blessed to have such wonderful neighbors when we moved to our home over 12 years ago. When mom was able she loved to cook and bake and share it with them. While Jessie was here she would always make sure Sam drove my mom to the local stores any time she wanted to go. He was always there for her even after Jessie died. Every day Sam would come over to watch Price is Right with mom. We loved having him over for our family events because he was such a part of our family. He was such a wonderful man and so easy to love - we will miss him so much. We know that he is at peace now and that brings us comfort.

Though I did not have the privilege of knowing Mr. Stein, he seemed to have lived a long and full life. His story brought to mind an approprate scripture I'am sure he would have appreciated at Ecclesiastes 7:1... "A name is better than good oil, and the day of death than the day of one's being born." What a wonderful legacy he has left for his family. My prayers are with you.

I want to send this message to my, long ago high school friend, Marshall. Marshall, I have such vivid memories of your father and mother. They were wonderful people. I still live in Belmont Shore and hardly a day goes by that I don't walk by the Bank of America where years ago your folks had their business. I hope all is well with you.
