Cecilia Fernandez Obituary
Those left to mourn her passing include a son, David Fernandez (Sandra Sanchez) of Las Cruces; two daughters, Patricia Duran of Albuquerque, and Laura Fernandez (Bertha Garcia) also of Las Cruces. Other survivors included three grandchildren, Ryan, Monique, and Jordan; a very special nephew Edward Martin, as well as numerous special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and step-father Clem "Papa" Struffolino. Cremation has taken place and the family will be receiving friends beginning at 9:30AM Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at Baca's Chapel of Prayer, 300 E. Boutz Road where the Memorial Service is scheduled at 10 AM with the Reverend Mitch Dowalgo officiating. Inurnment of cremains will follow immediately thereafter at Masonic Cemetery 760 S. Compress Road. Service arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Baca's Funeral Chapels and Sunset Crematory of Las Cruces, 527-2222. Patricia, David and Laura,
I am so sorry that we've lost Aunt Cissy. We were all so lucky to have had her a part of our lives. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. You were all so lucky to have her for a mother. She is a beautiful woman... inside and out. She will forever be in our hearts. God bless you all.

Laura,
I am both shocked and saddened to read about your mother's passing. Losing a parent is one of the most difficult things one can do as I recently found out by the passing of my Dad. Your mom was a very special person and will live in you forever. You are as special as your mom was to me.
