Clementina Rigales Obituary
Clementina was born in Carichic, Chihuahua, Mexico to Antonio and Maria Cano on April 8, 1937. The family immigrated to the United States in 1955. They lived in El Paso, Texas then moved to Las Cruces where she married and raised her 3 children. She was a devoted wife for 58 years, loving mother, adoring grandmother, and a beautiful human being. She was a devout Catholic and honored the Virgen de Guadalupe.
Clementina is survived by her three children and their spouses: Leticia Rigales Soto (Ruben Soto) of Las Cruces, NM, Luis Rigales III, M.D. (Veronica Rigales) of Santa Fe, NM and Angelica Rigales of Las Cruces, NM. Her six grandchildren: Brianna Soto, Anthony Soto, Diego Rigales, Esteban Rigales, Alejandro Rigales, and Mariella Rigales.
Clemy is preceded in death by her husband Luis Rigales Jr., her parents Antonio and Maria Cano, her sisters Velia Montoya, Maria Luz Rivera, as well as her brother Jose Cano. She is survived by her siblings Sixto Cano of Phoenix, Arizona, Miguel Cano of Pueblo, Colorado, Ruben Cano of Las Cruces, NM and her sister Martha Elodia Galvan of Las Cruces. Clementina is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Her grandchildren: Mariella Rigales, Alejandro Rigales, Esteban Rigales, Diego Rigales, Anthony Soto, and Brianna Soto will serve as Pallbearers. Luis Rigales, III, MD and Ruben Soto will be honorary pallbearers.
All services will take place on Monday, October 1st 2018 at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Heart of Mary at 1240 South Espina Street, Las Cruces, NM 88001. The Rigales family invites everyone to join them for a viewing from 9:00 - 10:00am. The rosary, officiated by Deacon Leonel Brise?o, to honor their mother, will start at 10:00am. The funeral mass, officiated by Fr. Alex Ure?a will begin at 10:30am. Reception will immediately follow at Finley hall next to the Cathedral.
