Donald Haynie Obituary
Las Cruces - Donald "Donnie" Haynie departed this Earth on May 7, 2021 in Las Cruces, NM. He was born in El Paso, Texas to Van Homer Haynie and Marie B. Haynie. Donnie graduated from Mayfield High School. He loved team roping, playing pool, fishing tournaments, and the great outdoors. He was a cemetarian by trade and a businessman here in Mesilla Valley. Donnie is survived by his children; son Jesse Haynie and daughter Rebecca Maese. Ex wife Debbie Haynie and step children; Preston Tharp and Tim Tharp; grandchildren Austin, Jayden, Payton, Dustie, Kyler, Emarie, Shanley, Ryder, Arley, Sadie, Colt, and Natalie. Sister Bea and George Whittenburg. Nephews and nieces Tom Haynie, John Haynie, Billie Ann Haynie, Cassidy Hall, Travis Whittenburg, Stacy Hawkins. Donnie is preceded in death by his parents Van and Marie Haynie. Brothers Homer Haynie and John Thomas Haynie Sr.
A funeral is scheduled for Wednesday May 26, 2021 at 10:00 am at Hillcrest Memorial Garden Memory Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Oscar Lucero, Terry Bullard, George Aros, Robert McMullin, Billy Richardson, Rudy Samaniego, and Tommy Izzo.
Honorary Pall bears Carlos Acuna, Benny Runnels, Wendel Hall, and Clay Mac.

We used to meet every morning going into town . I will miss Donnie's wave and smile every morning. Donnie helped lots of people. He will be missed. Rest In Peace my Friend.

Donnie was my Employer at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens for many years. He was also a very good friend. He was so kind and generous to myself and my family! So many wonderful memories. I am so glad I was able to talk to him about an hour before his passing. We were able to say we loved each other one last time. My condolences to his family.
