Jenny as she was fondly known to family and friends was born December 16, 1976 in Redwood City, California, and while growing up lived on the Hopi Reservation in Northern Arizona, Guam, Safford, AZ. and Lincoln, NE., before making Las Cruces her home. She also traveled to such places as Italy, Puerto Vallarta and Puerto Penasco, Mexico, and her maternal ancestral home of Yap State in the Federated States of Micronesia. Favorite pastimes of Jenny's were interior design, reading literature, and boating at nearby Elephant Butte Lake. Jenny took special pride in the raising of her two sons, Matthew James Bernard (age 7) and Max John Bernard (age 4), and in helping her husband Cliff Bernard start up and manage their business—Bernard Automotive.
Jenny's gaiety, wit, generosity, sweetness, and beauty will be greatly missed by family and friends.
