Suzanne Huston-Garcia Obituary

Mrs. Suzanne Huston-Garcia, age 78, of Las Cruces passed from this life on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 19, 1939 in Long Pine, Nebraska to Ernest and Ellen Huston. Suzanne worked for Las Cruces KNMA in 1957 as a first class announcer-engineer, Paralegal for Mr. Newell, Music Box record store clerk, entrepreneur, and retired from NMSU in 2003. She collected Southwestern art and was an avid painter in her retirement.

Those left to mourn her passing include her husband, Thomas Garcia, three sons, Patrick McWhorter of Rusk, Texas, Shawn McWhorter of Los Alamos, NM and Gregory McWhorter of Las Cruces, NM. Other survivors include eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Frank Huston.

At Mrs. Garcia's request, her remains were cremated and a private service was held on January 30, 2018.
