Emily Jo Shenk

HARRISBURG Emily Jo Shenk, 34, of Tiffany Lane, died Wednesday, September 1, 2010, in her residence after losing her long term battle with anorexia and bulimia. Born in Camp Hill, on October 15, 1975, she was the daughter of Aubrey L. Shenk of Boiling Springs and Claire Watson Johnson of Carlisle. She worked in Human Resources for Weis Markets, Harrisburg. She was a 1994 graduate of Mechanicsburg High School and attended Western Maryland College, Eastern College, Philadelphia, and Harrisburg Area Community College. Emily was an avid runner and was a certified spinning instructor at Golds Gym and Platinum, Harrisburg. She enjoyed exercising, writing, journalizing, and music. She was a very caring individual and touched many lives. Surviving, in addition to her parents, are a sister, Leslie M. Shenk of Camp Hill; paternal grandfather, Martin L. Shenk of Cleona; and maternal grandfather, Donald E. Watson of Annville. She was preceded in death by a paternal grandmother, Kathryn M. Shenk, and a maternal grandmother, Claire L. Watson.
