My family and I always ate at Risser's Diner during our annual visits to our grandparents', The Odenwelders, in Myerstown. We extend our most heartfelt sympathy to the entire Risser family. We will always fondly remember the wonderful breakfasts and kind staff at Risser's. Much love, "The Swangers" (Sally, Mike, Gretchen and Emily)

Ernie was a kind and gentle man who gave back much more to the community than he took. You always knew that the service and food would be good at the restaurant and that if you saw Ernie, that he would genuinely want to know how you were doing. His presence will be greatly missed.

My husband and I, as did a lot of people, spent a lot of time at Risser's restaurant. We loved the food, met with a lot of friends, but most of all, loved Ernie. Always with a smile on his face, happy to say hello, and chat. We will miss you Ernie, but my Fred will be happy to see you again.
