Of all the members of my family, what I remember most about Uncle Harlan was his physical presence. For a man with a friendly manner, he was undeniably Present when he walked into a room or stepped out of a car. He added to any scene that he entered, and it was impossible not to respect him naturally and immediately. I shall miss Uncle Harlan for the rest of my life. His immediate family was most fortunate to have had such a man in their lives for many years.

My uncle Harlan was the heir to my grandfather Sam--as a demanding dairyman, devoted family man and generous philanthropist. May he rest in peace. With deference and reverence as well as admiration and affection.

Mrs. Wengert, Ann, David, Carol, Marty, Sarah: was saddened today when my mom called to tell me of mr. W's passing. My Xmas card from Marty informed me that mr& mars just moved to Willow Valley - couple of miles from my house. Was hoping to get over to welcome them to the 'neighborhood', and I'm saddened that it did not happen in time. So many fond memories of your dad, hoping your memories help you all to grieve. Marty was my best friend and I loved the Wengerts! My deepest sympathies to all.

The Nicholas family of Centennial, CO (David, Kathie, and David, Jr.) wish all the Wengerts our deepest condolences on the passing of Uncle Harlan.
Warm summer sun,
Shine kindly here,
Warm southern wind,
Blow softly here.
Green sod above,
Lie light, lie light.
Good night, dear heart,
Good night, good night.

I loved those small chocolate milks at holiday picnics that "Mr. Wengert" would provide. He had such a hearty laugh! All my best to his wife and children. Jan Helen McGee
