Marlene Gumpher Obituary
East Hanover Twp, Dauphin County - Marlene B. "Molly" Gumpher, 80, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2021, surrounded by her family.
Born August 26, 1940 in Hershey, she was the daughter of the late Ralph W. and Alice Hoover (Backenstoes) Daniels.
Molly's family meant more to her than anything, and she loved them unconditionally. Holiday gatherings, family trips, and family celebrations on the patio brought her joy. A retired rural mail carrier, Molly was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Grantville, East Hanover Lions Club, and a life member of Grantville Volunteer Fire Company.
Surviving are her husband of 64 years Ronald E. Gumpher; children Kathy Heckman (Harry), Cindy Ellenberger (Luke), David Gumpher (Susan), Judy Thrasher (Michael) and Holly Fawcett (Paul); grandchildren Melissa Zern, Emily Soghomonian, Abby Paine (Jeff Smith), Casey Beadencup (Steve), Amanda Black (Donny), Meghan Gumpher (fiancé Albert Greaves), Audrianne Thrasher (fiancée Tiffany Bogacki), Clayton Thrasher (Kristen), Lilly Fawcett and Grace Fawcett; great grandchildren Tori, Laura, Colton, Brielle, Sophia, Landon, Jackson and Ryker; great-great grandson C. J.; and brother Clair E. Daniels (Suzie).
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment in Grantville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her church, PO Box 130, Grantville, PA 17028 or Hospice of Central Pennsylvania, 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110.

Molly, related to me two ways, was always amazingly brave (illnesses) & a conquerer of life circumstances to me. I looked up to her! To me she was a brave, loving soul.. and I will always remember her for her courage, being a hard worker, and for caring so very much for all of her family.. She was an overcomer! My condolenses to her family. tho I did not see her much, I will miss her! Please be assured she is with her loving Heavenly Father now..
