Mildred E. Hoffsmith

Annville - Mildred E. Hoffsmith, 89, formerly of Palmyra, died Friday, April 13, 2018 in Countryside Christian Community, North Annville Twp. She was the wife of the late Harold E. Hoffsmith, Sr. who died in 2010.

Born in Harrisburg on April 25, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Steven and Catherine Brandt Novotny. She was retired from the confectionary department at Hershey Foods Corp. and was formerly employed at the Annville Dress Factory.

Mildred was a 1946 graduate of Lebanon High School and a member of the Community Bible Church in Palmyra where she was active in many church programs.

Surviving are two daughters, Dianna, wife of Samuel Gossard of Palmyra, Rebekah, wife of Scott Farver of Palmyra; a son, Harold E. Hoffsmith, Jr. and wife, Kim of Annville; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Suzanne Morrisey of Toms River, NJ and Joan McDonald of Boundbrook, NJ.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Community Bible Church, 1849 S. Forge Road, Palmyra. Interment will be held in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.

Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, Annville, is in charge of arrangements.
