My deepest condolences to the Barry Family. I knew Ray from both the Job and through teaching at Harrisburg Area Community College and the Harrisburg HACC Police Academy. He was a very good man and always greeted you with a smile and a handshake and was totally dedicated to public service and the community. Lebanon was very fortunately to have such a man for so many years. Job well done Ray ... Rest in Peace Brother.

I add not only my condolences but those of my father, Joe Agresta who worked at the Lebanon Daily News and met Ray when he was younger. I became a "second generation" when I met Ray through HACC during police related training and he learned who was my father. From that point forward I was blessed to have a mentor, friend, "father-confessor" in Ray. I am proud to carry on what he believed and lived. May peace surround the Barry family and Ray's friends.

I've known Ray since we were in Harding Jr. High together, there are not enough words to describe his legacy in Lebanon County. Ray was as perfect as a man as a man could be, my deepest condolences to all the Barry Family, I only wish he could've enjoyed his retirement for a lot longer.

For all the Barry family. I only knew Ray as an acquaintance and fellow member Of St Stephens. However I liked the man a great deal and he was always friendly in return. I will miss him, but the Good Lord needed him now. May God grant you all the Peace only that He can.

I had the privilege of knowing Ray for a very long time. Even before my days as a police officer I had the opportunity to see him as the jokester he was. Ray was quick with wit and always seemed to have a smile on his face. He was a great Cop and an excellent instructor to us all while I was in the police academy. He was always there for his family and friends. While on the streets he always treated people fairly. We will all miss you Ray. RIP and hopefully we will all be together on the other side. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family and friends. God Bless.

Ray was a dear friend to me, he will undoubtedly be missed by his students and community, and to all others that have been touched by his strong work ethic and life-long dedication to the service of others. Ray defined the concept of "to serve and protect" on a daily basis. My deepest condolences go out to his family, the community that he served, and the police family that he was so very proud to be a part of. I am blessed to have known him for so many years. I sincerely and respectfully thank "Chiefy" for his friendship and compassion towards others.
